Winston Leathers, well known in his innovations in printmaking,  taught at the Faculty of Architecture for 26 years and was a member  of the Royal Canadian Academy of the Arts.  In 2003 he donated hundreds of work to Gallery 111, U of M, Gallery 1C03, U of W, and the Winnipeg Art Gallery. He died in 2004 (obituary), just before a restrospective exhibition of his work Winston Leathers: In the Moment, Exhibition, March 2005. co-sponsored by Gallery 111, University of Manitoba and Gallery 1C03, University of Winnipeg.Interview with Cliff Eyland, April 2004.
